Creating a Charming Woodland Office Design

Heidi with office clutter

We started out with the furniture in the middle of the room. You can see Heidi on the white shelf in the middle. She monitored things while the president did the heavy lifting. The goal is something professional but inviting. Maybe with a woodland theme.

Heidi got to hang out with her woodland creature friends. They were the designers from “Office Makeover” and the authors of the magazine “Hole living”. They promised that they would stick with an above ground look for the office.

Originally I was supposed to have a different couch but it was hard to get it into the room. I kind of like this one. What do you think?

This space allows for families to sit and talk with the therapist and a small area on the rug to play.

This looks like a mild mannered end table with costers. Really it can become a tiny forest with a dock for Heidi to fish from or a raft to float down the river.

The rocking chair area needs work. I am planning on having it be for parents to rock with their child are look at books. I need some more lamps. The walls need color and the ceiling needs some kind of canopy with vines and fairy lights. I can’t wait!

Why go with a forest theme? Nature is calming and healing. The intent is for this space to be completely different than the day to day work. When you enter the space you know it is a calm and safe place.
