The best concert I have been to was a Jonathan Coulton concert. He is a quirky singer songwriter. The openers were Paul and Storm with a number of funny songs. The best being “The Opening Band”. Jonathan Coulton has the song “Code Monkey” and other geeky songs. I can relate to the nerdy/geeky vibe.

Both bands were enjoyable. They have light, bouncy, funny songs about unusual topics such as, computer coding, chicken nuggets, and IKEA. The big surprise was that there was a special guest who had stopped at the comedy club and was going to perform. So, we waited around for a while and then they announced the next comedian. It was Robin Williams! I never thought that we would have seen him in a little comedy club in Green Bay Wisconsin.
One of the things I loved about Robin Williams was his heart for other people. He understood what it was like to not feel valued. My favorite quote of his is, “I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy. Because they know what it is like to feel absolutely worthless and they don’t want anybody else to feel that way”.
