Hi, my name is Heidi. I am a hedgehog who has been traveling all over the world. I am taking some time off to help set up Happy Hedgehog Counseling. Isn’t that a great name?

I am the vice president and have been given the task of writing some posts while the president of the company gets the office ready.

The president’s name is Martha Haynes. She is a former teacher and current counselor for children and families. She has a bunch of letters after her name, but I can’t remember them.

Anyway, the office is open and currently has availability on Mondays. As the company grows more days will be added. If you have a little one and are struggling with behaviors, school, or connecting and communicating with your child give us a call. 262-325-5697

My boss has over 25 years of experience working with children with special needs and challenging behaviors. I know that many therapists do not work with preschoolers but that is my boss’s favorite age group to work with.

Martha has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and early childhood special education and a master’s degree ESL and bilingual education. She has a second master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. She is studying synergetic play therapy to learn more about how to help parents communicate with their child.

Happy Hedgehog Counseling has a longterm goal of flexibility. Individual and family therapy, parent/caregiver group, supervision for other therapists and possible collaboration with other professionals. When we know what people are interested in, we can customize the offerings.
