Book Nook: Dare to Be Me

Heidi with "Dare to Be Me" book

Do you worry about fitting in with other kids at school? Wouldn’t it be nice to not have to worry if other people accepted you. The best way to do that is to fully accept yourself! In this book the main character definitely has her own style and she loves it. Heidi loves all the color in the book and she agrees that having your own unique style is much more fun! Go ahead, dare to be yourself.

Heidi has some other book recommendations that are about liking yourself. It is important to like yourself. Even if you feel like you do not ” fit in” you may encourage others to be themselves. What are some unique things about you?

You can find this book and others about being your unique self at the Elm Grove Public Library.
